Our guest today is Professor Spring Cooper, a social researcher with academic expertise in public health, health promotion, sexuality. Professor Cooper’s PhD focused on the sexual health education implications of menstrual attitudes and knowledge among women of varying socio-economic status in the United States. Her current research interests are in adolescent sexual health, adolescent and online and offline social networks, health promotion, health communication and prevention of diseases through behavior change and vaccination. We will be speaking with Professor Cooper about all of these topics, especially as it relates to students that she works currently works with at the City University of New York, in addition, we will be speaking about her podcast, the Sex Wrap, the podcast that covers everything you are too afraid to ask at home, too embarrassed to ask at school or was just too hard to ask a partner. Professor Cooper will also share her thoughts about the NYS revenge porn law which comes at the heels of NYC’s law, passed in 2018.
